RULES OF THE COMPETITION (FOR ADULTS) 1. COMPETITION

?). KUMITE (TEAM, INDIXIDUAL) a. This competition is an elimination tournament. b. This competition does not have the 3rd decision fight c. KUMITE competition time Preliminary (TEAM, INDIVIDUAL) 2 minutes Championships (TEAM MALE, INDIVIDUAL MALE) 3 minutes Championships (TEAM FEMALE, INDIVIDUAL FEMALE) 2 minutes d. Shobu Shobu (1 point - YUKO, 2 point - WAZAARI, 3 point - IPPON) e. Protective equipment MALE mouthpieces, fist supporters, groin protector FEMALE mouthpieces, fist supporters, body protector

B). KATA (TEAM, INDIVIDUAL) a. The mark method will be applied. b. TEAM KATA consists of two(2) rounds.(8 teams will win at the first round) INDIVIDUAL KATA consists of three (3) rounds. (16 teams will win at the first round, 8 teams will win at the second round) c. We decide 1st and 2nd and 3rd prize at the final round. (TEAM , INDIVIDUAL) d. The Official list of KATA for these championships (31). Bassai-Dai, Shiho Kosokun, Kosokun-Dai, Kosokun-Sho, Gojushiho, Matsumura-Bassai, Sochin, Ni-Paipo, Suparinpei, Kururunfa, Seisan, Seipai, Sei-En-Chin, Matsumuraha-Rohai, Unsyu, Niseshi, Chatanyara-Kusanku, Jitte, Jion, Jiin, Chin Toh, Chin Tei, Bassai-Sho, Wanshu, Shi Sochin, Saifa, Tomari-Passai, Shinpa, Matsukaze, Aoyagi, Jyuroku e. The first KATA's round should be Bassai-Dai or Sei-En-Chin. (TEAM, INDIVIDUAL) From the second round(or play-off), contestants will be allowed from the official list of d. Contestants can not play the same KATA that has been played at first or second round.

C). Accessories are prohibited to all contestants (hairpins, pierced earrings, necklaces, rings, etc.)

D). Doping is prohibited. Selective doping tests will be implemented

E). In these championships, it must be one (1) team per country.

(2). All judges are official judges of the World Shitoryu Karatedo Federation. Some months prior to 4th Championship there will be held a judicial seminar. You will be additionally informed about the venue, the date and the program.

1. COMPETITION 

The age as listed below is the actual age on 22nd Aug. 2003.

7 ~ 15 years old First round : Kata of Heian Final round: Kata of Heian (except first round), Bassai-Dai or Sei-En-Chin 16 ~ 17 years old First round : Bassai-Dai or Sei-En-Chin Final round : Free(choice from the official list of d. - Page 1)

? Contestants can not play the same KATA that has been played at first or final round. (also in case of rematch)
